What Campers Say about Texas Arts Project
I felt that the counselors and teachers went out of their way to help us individually. I also was able to feel comfortable showing my talents, and not being afraid to discover new ones. Jessica Perrin Age 15 Burkburnett High School; Burkburnett, Texas Film Major 2009
At TAP Camp, I am always pushed harder to go further with my talent than anywhere else, and that is the one of the most beneficial things that can be offered to a performer. I enjoyed the great mix of constant work in a fun, vibrant environment. Every year I feel so extremely blessed to have the opportunity to go to TAP Camp where so many incredible memories are created. I love myself more at TAP Camp. I love others more at TAP Camp. The professional and positive vibe at TAP Camp is contagious and I plan to carry the valuable things I learned with me throughout my life. Alexa Cepeda Age 15 A&M Consolidated High School; College Station, Texas Musical Theatre Major 2006, 2008, Advanced Musical Theatre 2009
This has improved my knowledge about theatre in a million ways. I loved every possible minute here. It has really taught me that this is what I want to do for the rest of my life. Brennan Martinez Age 14 McCallum High School; Austin, Texas Musical Theatre Major 2009
I feel like I learned how movies are made and how much work really goes into making them. I really enjoyed the classes and getting to know everyone who has the same kind of interest that I do. It is very interesting how when you have so man people working on a film there is a lot more room for mistakes and you have to trust your team. Christy Denbrock Age 17 Madison Acedemic HS; Jackson, Tennessee Film Major 2009
TAP Camp is very open to everything and everyone. Also, the relationship between students and teachers is a special one in which you are in a safe environment. I have grown in many aspects, not only musical theatre but also interaction skills. TAP Camp 2009 was the best experience ever! I had so much fun working with everyone and I wouldn’t change it for anything. Angela Gutiérrez Age 15 Instituto San Roberto; Monterrey, Mexico Musical Theatre Major 2008, 2009
It was very intense, so I learned three months worth of material in three weeks. Michelle Bizzell Age 14
