Junior Camps
Junior 2 campers showcase

Texas Arts Project has become the most-looked-forward-to event of the Summer in our house. This summer will be the 4th year that our daughter, Josie, will attend TAP camp. Her love for musical theater was catapulted after her first summer at TAP. Her experience there has given her the skills to audition, to memorize lines, and to perform on stage, all with confidence of a pro. She has made lifelong friends from all over the United States. Ginger, Kelly, and their team are all professionals with open hearts and open minds — determined to showcase your child’s talent, whatever it may be.

JUNIOR SLEEP-AWAY CAMPS FOR AGES 9-13

Junior sleep-away Camps, for ages 9 – 13, focus on singing, acting and dancing. Structured classes combined with an intense rehearsal process and a lot of fun, make the Junior Camp a wonderful experience for the young artist. Broadway style songs and dances are rehearsed and performed at the end of the session.

Junior Camp is devoted to theatrical training where campers are challenged in an encouraging environment, stretching to reach their individual potential on a daily basis. When they are not training, campers enjoy planned activities including swimming, arts and crafts, kite flying, scavenger hunts and more. Campers are assigned to big brothers and big sisters from Senior Camp for joint activities during the week. Each session culminates in a final performance showcase.

*NOTE: All campers for TAP Junior, TAP Senior, and TAP Advanced are required to audition at the beginning of camp. Auditions are held for many reasons. The staff will get the opportunity to know all the campers and their strengths and weaknesses in all types of performance. Additionally the staff will be able to make casting decisions about the final showcase, place campers in the correct class levels, and make sure that all classes are challenging and appropriate. All campers will participate in multiple sections of the audition. The audition process will be conducted in a professional and encouraging environment. It will be fun, but we are expecting your personal best. Visit Placement Auditions for more information.
